# Dew pond restoration near Coombsdale

This dew pond was restored in 2022 and has since become a hotspot for great crested newts, amongst several other important species. Its position, within a species-rich grassland next to a scrubby lane with plenty of trees, has helped to create a mosaic of habitats on this site. The pond continues to be used by birds, amphibians, mammals and invertebrates.
